Wedding Blessings

A wedding blessing is normally performed after a civil ceremony and is usually seen as a way for the couple to confirm their commitment to each other in church. It differs from a marriage ceremony because it is not an official marriage service nor is it legally binding or governed by law.
There is no official paperwork involved as the legal requirements have already been met at the civil ceremony. A blessing is normally performed in church, although it can take place at an outside venue.
